Design on my mind...

As I sketch away in my little white notebook, my interior designer’s mind dances with possibilities. Each line and curve on the page represent a potential transformation of a space. With each stroke of my pen, I imagine how textures will feel against fingertips, how sunlight will dance across surfaces, and how the elements will sync in the space.

While I draw in black-and-white, my mind is filled with colours. The monochrome keeps my designs open-ended, with unlimited colour combinations.

This is not something I doodle during breaks, these are brainstorms — that start and develop as I dwell over them, imagine colour schemes and element patterns, see how they play in the background I conceived. These sketches are a reflection of my passion for blending aesthetics with functionality, turning mundane spaces into extraordinary environments that one would enjoy living in.

Every place I step into, I feel the need to improve its aesthetics. I imagine a better color scheme, better placements of furniture, ways to improve the room’s flow, new patterns or textures that could be introduced. It is generally very hard for me not to rearrange atleast the accessories spread around the room. And I do often take creative liberties reorganising the spaces of people who are close to me.

After hearing my detailed suggestions and seeing my newspaper doodles on how to spruce up my ancestral home, my aunt invited me to her new home to suggest design improvements. Here are some of the drawings I made for her.

Like what you see? I'm happy to design your spaces!
